Their son and heir was William Skeffington, 1518-22/9/1571, who married Mary Cave, obit. 7/9/1558. On the decease of Margaret Stanhope, Thomas Skeffington inherited part of the manor of West Markham, and lands in Little Darlington, Ryton, and Stoke Rochford.
