Notes |
- Possible husband? May be second wife as too young for birth of Lewiston. Or another daughter of Joan Wadham??
According to online sources wife was a Joan Culpepper but History of Parliament gives her as Joan Trenchard who died 1612 daughter of Thomas Trenchard.
May have a daughter as a Joan Fitjohn died 1612 and her husband John who died in 1625.
....Longburton-Leweston Fitzjames, who died in 1638, was responsible for the addition of the small chapel to the north of the church chancel . In this chapel he installed effigies of his parents Sir John Fitzjames (died 1625) and Joan (died 1602). Sources give her maide name as Culpepper, others as Trenchard.
