Thomas Cutler, citizen and grocer of London.
My body to be buried in the church of St. Marie Aldermanbury. Black mourning shall be bestowed on my children and servants by mine exors - also 40 black cloaks to 40 poor men to wear at my funeral. All my debts to be paid, the remainder of my goods to be divided according to the laudable
custom of the City of London into three parts, one-third to Julian, my wife, one-third amongst my five children, Thomas, Richard, John, William and Susan equally when 21.
The third part to myself. To my da. Elisabeth wife of Wm. Barrett citizen and grocer of London ^400. To my da. Susan ^200. To Thomas and William Barrett sons of my son in-law Wm. Barrett ,£50 each. To the Company of Grocers of which I am a member a cuppe of the value of ^20 to be made of silver and guilt, same as Mr. Martin Thuchedale lately gave to the same Company and my name to be engraven thereon.
To my brother Cobb and his wife a gold ring each of 40s value.
To Mr. Nicholas Elcock clothworker a gold ring of 40s value.
To neighbour Wm. Bowyer and his wife a gold ring of 40s value.
To friend Edward Jennynge grocer a gold ring of 50s value.
To his son Thomas Jennynge ^10. To Rebecca Bicknell wife of John Bicknell clothworker ^10. To Elis. Woodward wife of John Woodard scrivener 40s for a ring. To Wm. Dennys ,£6 3. 4.
To my servant Robt. Crewes a gold ring of 50s value.

To Christ's Hospital for children £5. To poor of St. Mary Bow London 40s.
To Mr. Samuel Goldsmith a gold ring of 40s value.
Residue to Julian my wife and my said son Thomas Cutler equally, whom I make sole exors. Overseers, my kinsman, Raphe Hare, Esq. and my son in lawWm. Barrett, and to Raphe Hare my gelding and a gold ring of £2 value, and to my son-in-law a gold ring of like value.
