- George BROWN was born circa 1727. He was baptized on 5 Jan 1727/28 at Wroughton, Wilts. He was living on 27 Mar 1745 when he was left some land in Manton by his grandfather. He and Eleanor HAYWARD obtained a marriage license on 25 Oct 1758 (He of Monkton, Gent; she of Beechingstoke, "Mrs"). He married Eleanor HAYWARD, daughter of Joseph HAYWARD and Ann (--?--), on 26 Oct 1758 at Beechingstoke, Wilts. He and Martha NALDER obtained a marriage license on 13 May 1762 (He of Monkton, yeoman; she of Avebury, single). He lived at the parish of Monkton, Wilts, on 15 May 1762. He married Martha NALDER, daughter of Robert NALDER and Anne NEATE, on 15 May 1762 at Avebury, Wilts. He died on 11 Feb 1793. He was buried on 18 Feb 1793 at Winterbourne Monkton, Wilts.
George Brown who inherits "Weeks Bargain" under the will of his grandfather John Brown of Manton in his will of 1746.
Probably the George Brown named as executor on the Will of Robert Vaisey, 1776. Winterborne Monkton.
