Mrs Eliza Jane Long, whose death at the age of 83 years occurred at North Sydney on Tuesday, was a well-known worker in charitable causes for many years, her services as a pianist being freely given. Previously Mrs Long had conducted two schools for girls, one at Randwick and the other at Windsor. The eldest daughter of the late Captain William Watson, of Balmain, Mrs Long was twice married. Her first husband, Captain Evans, and her son, were lost at sea. She was one of a large family, of which Messrs' Frank and Harry Watson are her only surviving brothers.
