May have died 19.11.1599 Someris, Bedfordshire, England?
Children by Elizabeth Hugh and Edward Rotherham.
National Archives:
Copy of a recognizance DE/Si/41656 Mich 1595
Contents: Between John Luke of Annables, gentleman, and George Rotherham of Someries, Bedford, in connection with the payment due by John Luke for the debts of Christopher Smyth, late Clerk of the Pipe
Son?
Will of George Rotherham of Luton, Bedfordshire 08 February 1631 PROB 11/159
Another supposed manor appears for the first time in 1623 under the name of the manor of THE CHAPEL OF SAINT MACUTES (alias St. Machutus, alias St. Makes, alias St. Marks). From: 'Parishes: Hawnes or Haynes', A History of the County of Bedford: Volume 2 (1908), pp. 338-344. URL: http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=62661 Date accessed: 03 November 2010.
It is stated that George Rotherham died seised of the lands and chapel in 1594, and shortly before his death he brought an action against Anne Rotherham, widow, and Isaac Rotherham, from whom he claimed the lands and chapel by descent from his grandfather, George Rotherham, to whom they were granted in 1554; (fn. 101) none of the Rotherhams, however, had any claim to the lands and chapel, as they were alienated by the grantee George Rotherham to John Ventris, in whose family they continued for many years....

Wiltshire Heritage Museum:
The Siege of Devizes and the Battle of Roundway Down. An exhibition of original sources and relics.
Monday, 04 July, 2005
...The current exhibition at Wiltshire Heritage Museum brings together for the first time the surviving relics of the battle and the siege of Devizes which preceded it on the days before. Pride of place goes perhaps to a fragment of a cannon found in Devizes Castle. ... Of equal importance is the contemporary portrait of a Devizes man, Richard Pierce, who at a time when the beleaguered defenders were almost without ammunition, sold them gunpowder, which helped to prolong the siege.
There is a baptism of a Richard Pierce son of Richard Pierce the younger on 19.03.1653 at St John Devizes.
