    3434 There is a record of Sir Robert Constable, of Flamborough, 1423-1488, married to Agnes Wentworth.

    According to Cahiers de Saint Louis page 917 they had a daughter Margaret who married Sir William Eure. No dates.

    Robert and Agnes had a daughter Margaret who about 1482 married Sir Ralph Bigod, of Settrington, 1457-1515.

    This Sir Ralph Bigod married (2) Alice and (3) Agnes Constable. I do not know who the parents are for this Agnes Constable but as a widow in 1516 she married Sir Ralph Eure, son of Sir William Eure and Margaret Constable, aforementioned.

    What is going on, does Cahiers de Saint Louis have it wrong? Did Sir Robert Constable and Agnes Wentworth have two daughters called Margaret?

    3438 There is a Robert Neate baptised 1727 at Great Bedwyn but he appeqrs to be buried in Great Bedwin in 1727 which confirms information in his mother Mary's will.

    Confusion about the parents of Robert of Salthorp. Is Robert Neate of Salthorp the son of Robert and Mary Neate or the son of William Neate and Bridget Hayes? Annes pedigree suggests he is the son of Robert and Mary Neate of Chitterne. However there is no Robert mentioned in the will of Mary Neate of Chitterne(his possible mother) in 1761. In her will Mary Neate of Chitterne only mentions her children as William, Thomas, Mary, Anne and Elizabeth. There is a burial of a Robert Neate at Great Bedwyn 1727-presumably the son of Robert and Anne Neate.

    If his memorial entry is correct (below) birth date should be closer to 1735 eg the Robert born 1735 son of William and Bridget?

    3439 There is a Ruth Neate marrying Anthony Elton on the IGI. Salisbury 22.07. 1682. Marriage by licence.

    "Ruth Neate aged 23 years from Yatesbury married Anthony Elton aged 17 a Yeo from Yatesbury on Jul 22nd 1682. Bondsman was Robert Neate."

    Is the bondsman Robert Neate her Father or brother or even an Uncle?

    Was Robert Neate a yeoman of Wedhampton in Urchfont WIL. There are four baptisms in Urchfont where Robert is the father;
    Robert 1648, Deborah 1655 (buried Urchfont 1656), Female 1656 (poss Bur a Unknown 1656) and then Mary 1687. If the Robert 1648 is the one married in nearby West Lavington 1681/2 to Martha Bishop then he is the likely father of Mary. There is a WILLIAM buried at Urchfont in 1681 and a Jane 1695. Perhaps Ruth's father was deceased then it is possible that an Uncle would be her bondsman when she married. eg: Brother of farmer Neate.
